The colourful and fun furnishing accessories signed VittEr
VittEr Design, a brand created by Filippi 1971, presents its first POP furniture collection, designed by architects Basaglia and Rota Nodari. A line full of elements, such as tables, stools, coat racks, bookcases, consoles, reception desks and benches, designed for residential, contract and work environments, and in particular capable of expressing the full potential of VittEr, the new generation laminate that is the beating heart of the brand and of the collection.
VittEr is a game, an assembly of sheets of colour cut out and reassembled in space, in which the “micro” stratification of the sheets that make it up is reproposed in the “macro” layers that form the furnishings and create three-dimensional figures starting from two-dimensional planes. The POP collection looks back to the cultural experiences of the Eighties”, the architects continue, “but reinterprets them with the eyes of the present, exploiting the technical characteristics of the material to transform them into a simple, direct expressive language.
Architects Basaglia and Rota Nodari
VittEr , compact laminate, formaldehyde-free, antibacterial and 100% Italian, was the starting point, the essential element for shaping objects and creating an experience, a new “language”. Architects Basaglia+Rota Nodari thus accepted the stimulating challenge of shaping and giving value to the many performances of VittEr , which entirely composes the products, designing the brand’s first collection. The dialogue between material, aesthetics and functionality gave rise to POP, an iconic, contemporary collection defined by plastic, sinuous forms and rhythmic design, involving both the ethereal total white version and the colourful, energetic, vitaminic version, underlined by VittEr’s peculiarity of being “all colour”: every layer that makes up the collection, from the core to the surface, is coloured and customisable in several shades of thickness; an “all colour” that goes beyond the usual appearance of laminate to approach that of solid materials.
Alfa coffee tables, Beta stools, the Pancake system of bookcases, consoles, benches and reception desks, and the Ringer and Pertus coat racks are highly creative, immediately recognisable complements that are open to different interpretations, styles and uses.
POP also looks to the future and expresses VittEr Design’s desire to be sustainable by applying the concept of circular economy with low environmental impact: VittEr is in fact completely recyclable, renewable and eco-sustainable (it is produced with FSC-certified cellulose-based paper and without the use of resins or additional glues.
